So by way of the awesome Twitterverse, I have had the chance to receive a 2009 sampler of Downtown Record's latest new kids on the scene. (I was so hyped when I realized that that's what I had received--9 FREE tracks!) I was originally hoping for some Kevin Michael EP tracks, but I wasn't completely bummed when I didn't see the kid's face anywhere on the demo. The entire thing was packed with some great grooves, but by far, the biggest thing on there was a track by a young lady named Mapei. By all means.
